DIGANA: (ePRESS) – G Sriharan emerged victorious at the LECTRA June Monthly Medal Golf Tournament held at Victoria Golf Resorts in Digana on Sunday.
The event featured three main categories: Overall Winner, Gents Net Winner, and Ladies Nett Winner. Sriharan impressed with a remarkable Nett score of 69 and also claimed the Nearest to the Pin in the Gents category.
Former Trinity College golfer Haroon Aslam secured the Gents Net Winner title with a Nett score of 70 on countback.
From the United Kingdom, Fowler Watt clinched the Ladies Net Winner title with a score of 74 Nett and also won the Nearest to the Pin in the Ladies Category.
Anumi Karunathilake achieved the Nett Runner-up position in the Ladies’ category with a score of Nett 75, while Saliya Jayaweera secured Nett Runner-up in the Gents category with a score of Nett 70 on countback.
In the Gross category for Gents, Eric Ou claimed the Gross Winner title with a score of 82, while Mohideen Aslam secured Gross Runner-up with a score of 88.
Among the Ladies, Ahalyn Rajan was named Gross Winner, and Pauline Morley took the Gross Runner-up position.
Special awards included Ahalyan Rajan for Longest Drive in the Ladies category and Eric Ou for Longest Drive in the Gents category.
The one-day June Monthly Medal, powered by LECTRA Grand Prix, Apparel Technologies, saw participation from approximately 40 golfers from Victoria Golf Resort.
