COLOMBO, August 10 (ePRESS) – Royal College’s Dehan Wickramasinghe and Colombo International School’s Samira Fernando emerged as the top Under-16 players at the 111th Colombo Tennis Championships at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association Courts in Colombo, with Dehan completing a double by winning both the Boys’ Under-16 Singles and Doubles titles while Samira captured the Girls’ Under-16 Singles crown.
Wickramasinghe produced an outstanding performance throughout the tournament to secure both Under-16 titles.
Samira also enjoyed an impressive campaign. In addition to winning the Girls’ Under-16 title, she finished runner-up in the Girls’ Under-14 event.
The champions received their medals at the prize-giving ceremony held at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) Playing Section. Wickramasinghe was presented his medal by SLTA Vice President Rukmal Cooray.
