COLOMBO, June 3 (ePRESS) – The annual art exhibition of Asian International School (AIS), Painted Dreams 2026, brought the imagination and creativity of its young students to life as hundreds of colourful artworks were displayed at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery in Colombo recently.
Organised by the AIS Art Department, the exhibition featured artwork created by students from Year 3 and above. The event provided a valuable platform for young artists to showcase their talent, creativity and artistic skills through a wide range of original paintings, drawings and craftwork.
The exhibition hall was transformed into a vibrant gallery filled with colourful and inspiring creations. Students expressed their thoughts, dreams and ideas through art, producing impressive work on paper and canvas using watercolours, acrylic paints and crayons.
Visitors were treated to a remarkable display of imagination and innovation as they explored the exhibition. The artworks reflected the unique perspectives of the students and demonstrated how art can encourage creative thinking and self-expression from a young age.
Painted Dreams 2026 attracted a large number of parents, teachers, students and art lovers who admired the quality and originality of the exhibits. The success of the exhibition once again highlighted the important role art plays in developing confidence, imagination and creativity among children.
The event also showcased the dedication and hard work of the students, whose artistic achievements were nurtured by the guidance and encouragement of the AIS Art Teachers.
AIS extended its sincere appreciation to Principal Mr. Harshana D. Perera for his continuous support, leadership and commitment, which played a key role in making the exhibition a success.
The school congratulated all the young artists who participated in the exhibition and contributed to another memorable chapter of Painted Dreams. Their work stood as a shining example of the creativity and talent that continues to flourish within the AIS community.
As the curtains came down on another successful exhibition, AIS looked ahead with excitement to an even bigger and more inspiring edition of Painted Dreams next year.
As the famous words of Albert Einstein remind us: “Creativity is contagious. Pass it on.”
