COLOMBO, July 3 (ePRESS) — Kotagala Kahata has rewarded five loyal consumers with brand-new TVS Scooty Pep scooters after completing its islandwide “Rasa Wasana 2025” promotion, marking another step in the tea brand’s drive to reward customer loyalty and strengthen its reach across Sri Lanka.

The five winners received their prizes at a ceremony held recently at the Grand Oriental Hotel in Colombo, bringing the consumer campaign to a successful close.

The promotion, which ran until October 5, 2025, invited consumers to send a Kotagala Kahata tea packet of any size, together with their name, address and telephone number, to the campaign’s designated postal address in Colombo.

The campaign also took the promotion directly to consumers, with Kotagala Kahata promotional vehicles travelling through 120 towns in 20 districts.

Consumers were able to hand over their entries directly to the promotional vehicles, helping the campaign reach tea drinkers across a wide area of the country.

The company said the strong public response showed the level of trust and loyalty built by the brand over the years.

“The remarkable response received for the ‘Kotagala Kahata Rasa Wasana 2025’ promotion reflects the confidence and loyalty that consumers continue to place in our brand,” said Nisha Karunaratne, Chief Marketing Officer of the C.W. Mackie PLC Group of Companies.

“We are delighted to have rewarded five winners with TVS Scooty Pep motorcycles and extend our sincere gratitude to all consumers who participated in this year’s promotion,” she added.

Kotagala Kahata was introduced to the Sri Lankan market in 2012 and has since expanded its presence among local tea consumers. The brand is produced using Ceylon tea and is marketed for its colour, taste and aroma.

The company said promotions such as Rasa Wasana are aimed at strengthening its relationship with consumers while expanding the brand’s presence in Sri Lanka’s competitive tea market.

Its Scan Products Division serves as the group’s fast-moving consumer goods arm, distributing products through traditional and modern trade networks as well as hotel, restaurant, catering and institutional channels.
