DIGANA: (ePRESS) – This weekend, August 24 and 25, the Victoria Golf Resort in Digana will host two major events: the August LECTRA Grand Prix Monthly Medal Tournament and the inaugural Junior Monthly Medal Tournament.
The LECTRA August Monthly Medal Tournament has become a highlight in the local golf calendar, consistently attracting over 50 players each month. In the current leaderboard, N Krishan Kumar leads in the men’s division, with K Wigneshwaran and Clifford Fernando close behind. In the ladies’ division, Roshini Sangani is in the lead, with Anumi Karunathilake, the overall winner of the July tournament, right on her heels.
Adding excitement this year, the Victoria Golf Resort will introduce the Junior Monthly Medal Tournament on Saturday. Nearly 60 young golfers are set to compete, marking a significant step in fostering youth participation in the sport.
