RCGC, Colombo, March 27, 2025 (ePRESS) – Gehan Siribaddana, a passionate golfer and prominent figure in Sri Lanka’s automobile industry, has been appointed as the Captain of the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) for the year 2025/2026, effective from March 27.
A longstanding member of RCGC, Siribaddana brings with him years of dedication to the sport, having served as the club’s Vice-Captain in the previous year. He is the Managing Director of Auto Bavaria (Pvt) Ltd, a leading BMW after-sales service company in Sri Lanka, with over 30 years of experience in managing top global automotive brands such as BMW, Mini, Range Rover, and Hyundai.
Siribaddana, a proud product of St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya, has also held influential positions outside of golf. He served as the Millennium President of the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) and was an executive committee member of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Siribaddana is recognized as a dedicated community leader and philanthropist. His service extends to his role as District Governor of Rotary in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, where he earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious “Most Outstanding Rotarian of the Year” award.
A strong advocate for RCGC, Siribaddana has played an essential role in the club’s growth. His leadership saw the introduction of the RCGC Mobile App, which marked a significant step in the club’s digital transformation – a first among Sri Lankan golf clubs.
