COLOMBO, Aug 12, 2025 (ePRESS) – The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, hosted an exclusive networking session for the corporate and business community on Tuesday at its Colombo headquarters.
The event brought together eight newly appointed Sri Lankan Ambassadors and High Commissioners bound for key postings in Indonesia, Brazil, Maldives, Türkiye, Nepal, South Korea, Kenya, and Oman. They were joined by five new Consul Generals heading to Guangzhou, Shanghai, Milan, Los Angeles, and Jeddah.
The gathering gave Sri Lankan companies a rare chance to meet the diplomats face-to-face, explore new markets, discuss investment prospects, and build stronger economic partnerships.
Business leaders said the exchange helped them better understand global market trends and how diplomatic channels could boost Sri Lanka’s trade reach. The session was described as an important step in linking the country’s economic ambitions with its expanding diplomatic network.
