COLOMBO, August 26, 2025 (ePRESS) – People’s Bank has once again been honoured as one of Sri Lanka’s most women-friendly workplaces, winning recognition at the Satynmag Women Friendly Workplace Awards 2025 held at Amari Colombo.
This is the fifth year in a row that the Bank has received this award, underlining its strong commitment to gender equality and inclusion in the workplace.
With women making up over 60 percent of its workforce, People’s Bank has introduced many programmes to support female staff. These include leadership development, mentorship opportunities, career growth initiatives, and a safe and supportive work environment.
The Bank said this recognition highlights its long-term efforts to empower women across all sectors of banking and to build a culture of respect and inclusion.
Since 2021, the Satynmag Women Friendly Workplace Awards have become a key platform in Sri Lanka to celebrate organisations that promote gender equity and inclusive work cultures.
By continuing to win this recognition, People’s Bank strengthens its position as a leader in driving positive change and shaping a fairer and more inclusive corporate sector in the country.
