COLOMBO, Sept 4, 2025 (ePRESS) – The Voyage Sri Lanka 2025 International Marine Summit, organized by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), will take place on October 16 at the Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo, drawing global attention to the island’s marine economy.
Organisers announced that the early bird registration deadline has been extended, with a 10 percent discount available for those registering on or before September 15.
The inaugural summit, held in 2024, was hailed a success. This year’s second edition is expected to attract more than 300 participants from 12 countries under the theme “Unveiling the Blue Economy Potential of Sri Lanka.”
The conference will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and industry experts from across the world. Discussions will cover shipbuilding and ship repair, offshore services, boat building, offshore wind farming, fisheries and aquaculture, and nautical tourism.
Key panel sessions include “Trincomalee as the Strategic Gateway to Sri Lanka’s Blue Economy,” “Energizing Sri Lanka’s Blue Economy: Offshore Oil & Gas Exploration and LNG Infrastructure as Economic Game Changers,” and “Charting a Course for Growth: Synergizing Boat Building and Nautical Tourism.”
The summit aims to attract international investment into marine and offshore services, boat building, and nautical tourism, while building global partnerships to drive sustainable growth in the Indian Ocean region. A boat display will also be featured for participants.
