HIKKADUWA, Sri Lanka, September 13 (ePRESS) – Pussalla Agri Ventures has opened its first dedicated Ceylon Cinnamon outlet in Narigama, Hikkaduwa, marking a major step in Sri Lanka’s spice industry. The store opened last week and is designed to give both locals and tourists a complete cinnamon experience.
The outlet offers fresh cinnamon brews and a full range of premium products, including quills, powders, oils, and air fresheners. Visitors can taste a freshly prepared cinnamon brew before exploring the entire product line, making the store more than just a retail space.
“Our aim is to connect customers with Sri Lanka’s iconic spice heritage,” the company said, adding that the outlet uses several novel tools to provide a unique cinnamon experience.
The launch comes at a time when the global market is shifting toward natural, safe, and premium products. Ceylon cinnamon, known as “true cinnamon,” is well-positioned to meet this demand. Industry experts say the new outlet not only improves consumer access to genuine cinnamon but also helps Sri Lanka strengthen its reputation as the world’s top source of this prized spice.
Pussalla Agri Ventures recently set up a cinnamon processing factory in Kosgama, where all the products for the new store are manufactured. By moving into retail, the company hopes to boost the value chain, bring in more foreign exchange, and support economic resilience through Sri Lanka’s most famous spice.
