COLOMBO, November 21 Friday (ePRESS) – Athena House shone brightest with a dominant all-round performance, scoring over 1,000 points to claim the championship at Horizon College’s Inter-House Athletic Meet 2025, held at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The three-day meet, including a two-day segment at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, concluded with Apollo House as runner-up, Zeus House in third place, and Hermes House finishing fourth.
The event was graced by Kushil Gunasekara, Founder of the Foundation of Goodness, as the Chief Guest. Competition was fierce and colourful, with relay races from Under-10 to Under-20 categories keeping the audience thrilled. Highlights included 12 Athletic Champions, along with awards for Best Performance Athletic Boy and Girl.
The programme also featured a vibrant Drill Display by 300 students from Years 3 and 4, a rhythmic Eastern Band performance, and an impressive March Past, showcasing Horizon College’s unity and discipline.
