Ampara and Jaffna Dominate Kabbadi Championships at 34th National Youth Sports Festival

 

The Men’s and Women’s Kabbadi Championships of the 34th National Youth Sports Festival, organized by the National Youth Services Council under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, concluded at the Youth Services Centre in Maharagama, with Ampara District and Jaffna District emerging as champions.

In the Men’s Kabbadi Championship, Kegalle District secured the Runners-up position, while the Women’s Kabbadi Championship witnessed Kurunegala District’s Women’s Team clinching the Runners-up title.

Vavuniya District claimed the third place in the Men’s Kabbadi category, while Killinochchi District secured the third place in the Women’s Kabbadi Championship.

The National Youth Sports Festival is set to continue from November 16 to 19 at the Sugathadasa Stadium, promising more exciting sports action in the days to come.
