COLOMBO, September 7 (ePRESS) – The Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC has become the first bank in the world to link LoungeKey airport lounge access to the UnionPay Asia Prestige programme, offering unmatched travel benefits to its premium credit card holders.
Through this partnership, ComBank’s UnionPay Asia Prestige Diamond and Asia Prestige Platinum cardholders can now enjoy entry to more than 1,500 airport lounges in over 140 countries, simply by showing their card — no extra membership or mobile app is required.
Passengers will be able to access world-class facilities including complimentary dining and beverages, private seating, high-speed Wi-Fi, workstations, and even showers and wellness amenities at selected lounges.
Diamond cardholders are entitled to unlimited complimentary LoungeKey visits each year, with six companion visits also free of charge. Platinum cardholders receive six complimentary visits annually, including companion access. Both cards also provide free travel insurance when booking return trips.
Commercial Bank was the first Sri Lankan bank to introduce UnionPay cards. With this step, it has become the first globally to connect UnionPay Asia Prestige with LoungeKey access.
UnionPay International is the largest card scheme in the world, accepted in 183 countries and regions through over 2,600 partner financial institutions.
The ComBank UnionPay Asia Prestige cards combine modern Tap-and-Go EMV chip technology with digital wallet integration via the Q+ Payment App, LankaQR compatibility, global acceptance, strong fraud protection, and premium customer service.
