Dharmasena and Sri Lankan duo smash their way to finals

Negombo, Feb 13, 7.15PM – In the ITF UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour second leg in Negombo on Tuesday, two Sri Lankan teams made it to the doubles finals, while Suresh Dharmasena advanced to the singles final.

Suresh Dharmasena, who won the singles championship in the first leg in Colombo last week, secured his spot in the second leg final by defeating Sung-Bong of Korea with a score of 6-1 and 6-0.

The Sri Lankan duo, consisting of Suresh Dharmasena and Gamini Dissanayake, winners of the first leg doubles championship, continued their success by reaching the final. They beat Bin Yusuf and Abu Samah of Malaysia with a score of 6-3, 6-7 (4), and a 10-3 tiebreaker.

Another Sri Lankan pair, Pradeep Kumara and WP Wijesiri, secured their spot in the doubles final by winning the semi-final against the Korean pair Sung-Bong and Hang-Ho with a score of 6-0, 6-0.

In the singles final on Wednesday, top-seeded Dharmasena will face off against the fifth-seeded A Borhan of Malaysia.
