COLOMBO, Sept. 3, 2025 (ePRESS) – Sri Lanka’s leading education and career fair, EDEX Mid-Year Expo 2025, will take place on September 13 and 14 at the BMICH, open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
This year’s expo will bring together 50 top educational institutions, 10 corporates, and direct overseas exhibitors from Dubai and Indonesia, giving students and job seekers access to higher education and employment opportunities in Sri Lanka and abroad, said EDEX Chairman Mahinda Galagedara.
“Our mission is to give the youth the knowledge, skills, and global opportunities they need to succeed. EDEX is not just a platform for education—it is a bridge to global competitiveness,” Galagedara added.
Project Chairman Chathushika Nissanka said the expo will also focus on career readiness, introducing tools such as the Career Key psychometric test through EDEX Careers, helping youth identify pathways that match their strengths and ambitions.
For the second year, EDEX has partnered with the International Student Identity Card (ISIC), the only global student card recognized by UNESCO, giving students access to over 150,000 offers in 98 countries.
The event is endorsed by the Prime Minister’s Office and key ministries including Education, Higher Education & Vocational Training, Youth Affairs & Sports, Labour, and Environment, underlining its national importance. Strategic partners include the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, and Ceylon Careers Guidance Association.
EDEX Mid-Year Expo 2025 is powered by strong corporate backing, with APIIT and Mogo Media Academy as Platinum Sponsors, CINEC Campus as the Gold Sponsor, Allianz Insurance Lanka as the Insurance Partner, American Water as the Official Hydration Partner, and PR Wire as the PR Partner.
