COLOMBO, Sept. 3, 2025 (ePRESS) – The Institute of Management of Sri Lanka (IMSL), the country’s apex professional body for management, has launched the National Management Excellence Awards (NMEA) 2025 to honor top-performing organizations.
Applications are now open for companies across all industries to compete for recognition as leaders in management excellence.
Founded in 1986, IMSL is Sri Lanka’s sole representative and full member of the Asian Association of Management Organizations (AAMO), giving it a strong regional and global presence in promoting modern management practices.
The NMEA is the only national awards scheme dedicated to recognizing excellence in organizational management. This year, awards will be presented under 15 categories, with winners honored at Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels. Each entry will be reviewed by an independent panel of eminent judges to ensure fairness and credibility.
IMSL President, Senior Professor Sarath Kodithuwakku, said: “As the apex body in management, we are proud to host the National Management Excellence Awards to recognize the best-managed organizations in Sri Lanka. Through NMEA, we aim to encourage innovation, leadership, and excellence that contribute to national development.”
IMSL Vice President and NMEA Chairperson, Prasad Wijesuriya, added: “NMEA 2025 is a unique opportunity for organizations to showcase their achievements and benchmark themselves against the very best in the country.”
