Colombo, Feb 26, 1.15PM – The eagerly anticipated Masters Basketball League Tournament, organized by Masters Basketball Sri Lanka, is poised to begin this Sunday, March 3, at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, announced Gayath Jayasinghe, President of MBSL.
A total of 68 teams, comprising both men and women players, are readying for the jump-ball, marking the commencement of this thrilling basketball event. Jayasinghe highlighted that the tournament will kick off at 8:00 AM, setting the stage for a series of exhilarating matches.
Among the participating teams, 49 will compete in the men’s category, while 19 teams will represent the women’s division. The tournament features players from diverse age groups, ranging between 30+ to 60+, showcasing the inclusive nature of the sport.
The MBSL tournament promises a weekend filled with intense basketball action, as teams battle it out on the court for a chance at victory.
As the tournament progresses over the long weekend, anticipation will mount for the ultimate showdown. The finals are scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 10, at approximately 6:00 PM.
