COLOMBO, Sri Lanka, August 12 (ePRESS) – Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL) has partnered with Ceylon Cold Stores to launch its iconic Campa Beverages brand in Sri Lanka, marking the Indian soft drink’s first overseas expansion.
The move, announced on Monday, aims to strengthen Reliance’s soft drinks portfolio beyond India, tapping into Sri Lanka’s growing beverage market. Ceylon Cold Stores, a subsidiary of the John Keells Group, will handle local production and distribution through its extensive network and operational reach.
The Campa range in Sri Lanka will feature Campa Cola, Lemon, Orange, and two energy drinks – Campa NRG Gold Boost and Berry Kik. The products will be sold in 250 ml bottles at Rs 100 each, a price the companies say offers “value and appeal for everyday consumption.”
“We are excited to enter the Sri Lankan market with our valued partner Elephant House Beverages,” said Ketan Mody, Executive Director at RCPL. “Campa is a heritage Indian brand founded more than 50 years ago that continues to enjoy the love of consumers. We are investing for the long-term and see great potential for accelerated growth in the region.”
Daminda Gamlath, President of John Keells Consumer Foods Sector, said the company would leverage its “robust distribution network and market expertise” to firmly establish Campa in Sri Lanka, echoing its decades-long success in India.
