COLOMBO, Aug 3, 2025 (ePRESS): Royal College Colombo is set to celebrate a proud milestone – 50 years since the legendary year of 1975, widely remembered as the Golden Year of Sports.
On September 1, 2025, former sportsmen, coaches, supporters and families who were part of the unforgettable sporting journey of 1975 will gather at the Royal College Hall at 8.30 a.m. to mark this remarkable jubilee.
The event will bring together those who wore the Royal blue and gold with pride – athletes, cricketers, rugby players, rowers, swimmers and more – all of whom contributed to a year that stood out for sporting excellence.
Those who represented Royal College in any sport during 1975 are warmly invited to attend. Dress code is a white shirt with College tie. Admission is free for all participants and the morning event will be followed by light refreshments.
