SLASU hosts selection trials for Asia Pacific Water Polo Tournament

RATMALANA: (ePRESS) – The Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU) is organizing a selection trial to form the National Water Polo Squad. The trials are aimed at preparing for the Asia Pacific Water Polo Tournament. The open trial will take place at the Sri Lanka Air Force Swimming Pool Complex in Ratmalana on Saturday, June 1, starting at 10 AM.

The Asia Pacific Water Polo Tournament is scheduled to be held from August 9 to 11 in Hong Kong. SLASU expects nearly 100 athletes, both boys and girls, from various schools and clubs in Colombo to participate in the trials.

From these players, the National Water Polo Squad will be formed, addressing a long-standing requirement. The final team for the 23rd Asia Pacific Water Polo Championship will be selected from this squad.
