COLOMBO, Sri Lanka, Aug 4, 2025 (ePRESS) – The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Sri Lanka has re-elected veteran human resource expert Priyantha Ranasinghe as President for the year 2025/26 at its Annual General Meeting held on July 26 at Waters Edge, Battaramulla.

Ranasinghe, a respected HR leader with over 28 years of experience across multiple industries, will continue to lead the country’s premier HR body with a clear focus on raising professional standards and expanding international reach.

“It is an honour to serve once again,” Ranasinghe said after his unanimous election. “We will work to bring more global accreditations for our CQHRM program, and build stronger value for our members through targeted development.”

Currently serving as Chief People Officer at INSEE Cement, Ranasinghe previously served 11 years as HR Director at Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka. His wide-ranging expertise includes roles in hospitality, banking, plantations, and FMCG across Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Under his leadership, CIPM has seen stronger international partnerships, new education innovations, and a high-performance culture among staff.

Ranasinghe noted that the Institute’s digital training programs and staff upskilling initiatives over the past year have positioned CIPM to meet the changing needs of the HR profession.

“Our people are at the core of everything,” he said. “We will continue to empower our staff with the right skills to deliver value and align with the country’s HR development goals.”

CIPM Sri Lanka, recognized as the nation’s leader in human resource management, plays a key role in shaping HR practices and developing talent for both public and private sectors.
