COLOMBO, October 3, 2025 (ePRESS) – Yadea Sri Lanka, together with Abans Auto, introduced a new range of electric motorcycles and three-wheelers, along with the country’s first-ever self-balancing scooter, the Yadea Ossy, at the Yadea Dealer Convention held at Cinnamon Life in Colombo.
The launch event was attended by Yadea’s South Asia General Manager Alex Zhao, Abans Group Managing Director Rusi Pestonjee, and several distinguished guests.
The latest Yadea models are designed to expand Sri Lanka’s green transport sector. Among the highlights was the Yadea T5L motorcycle, powered by a long-lasting TTFAR lithium battery with Smart Eco technology that allows multiple family members to operate it via the Yadea App.
The Yadea Keeness motorcycle, with Cruise Control and an Intelligent LED Display, has already won the Red Dot Award for design. The Yadea GS80 scooter comes with multiple riding modes, a TTFAR Hyper motor, and a TFT Smart Dashboard.
Guests also witnessed the unveiling of two new three-wheelers – an electric passenger carrier with 500kg capacity and an electric goods carrier.
The most anticipated model was the Yadea Ossy self-balancing scooter, the first of its kind in Sri Lanka. It runs on Balancing and Driving modes, controlled by smart features such as Bluetooth, Remote Unlock, Real-Time GPS tracking, and a 3D alarm system for theft protection.
The dealer convention also recognized top-performing dealers. Nexus E Solutions of Tissamaharama won first place, followed by Kandula Motors of Anuradhapura and Gunawardana Motors of Tangalle.
Participants were also given the chance to test ride the new models at a dedicated zone. The event further strengthened the partnership between Yadea and Abans Auto, with a renewed agreement naming Abans Auto as the sole authorized distributor for Yadea in Sri Lanka.
