COLOMBO, Nov 7 (ePRESS) – Singles champion Yashita de Silva continued his outstanding form as he teamed up with Mark Seneviratne to win the Men’s Doubles final of the Mercantile Tennis Tournament 2025, played at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) courts in Colombo.
The pair representing MAS Holdings produced a dominant performance to defeat Srinath Udayachandran and Thivenda Piyadagama in straight sets 6/1, 6/2, displaying excellent teamwork and control from the very first game.
Yashita, who was last year’s triple champion, once again showed his all-round strength and consistency on court. He combined perfectly with Mark, using his sharp groundstrokes and aggressive returns to seal quick points against the experienced duo.
The victory also marks another successful chapter in Yashita’s impressive career, as he continues his campaign in the Mixed Doubles event scheduled for the weekend.
