COLOMBO: (ePRESS) – The SUNQUICK National Beach Volleyball Championship, organized by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation under its supervision and full sponsorship by SUNQUICK, is scheduled to take place from January 31 to February 2 at the Negombo Beach Park.
This year, more than 160 school teams from across the country are expected to participate in the event. The championship will feature various age categories: Under-18, Under-21, and Under-25, along with open categories for both men and women.
The championship aims to promote beach volleyball across Sri Lanka, focusing on both rural and urban schools to inspire young boys and girls to excel in the sport. With the vision of elevating beach volleyball to national and international levels, this tournament stands as a significant event in Sri Lanka’s volleyball calendar. Over the years, the competition has been instrumental in introducing a new generation of talented beach volleyball players to the sport.
All matches will be conducted according to the rules and regulations of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation.
