COLOMBO: (ePRESS) – Sixty-eight teams are set to compete for honors in the annual 19th Blue and Gold Hockey Sevens, organized by Royal College in collaboration with the Royal College Hockey Club (RCHC), which will take place at Royal College main grounds on August 10 and 11, sponsored by ESOFT Metro Campus.
The event will feature 43 boys’ school teams, including the host Royal College and last year’s Cup champions, St Joseph’s College Colombo. Additionally, 25 girls’ school teams will participate, with defending girls’ Cup champions Holy Family Convent Wennappuwa among them.
The two-day tournament will feature 15 matches, including Cup, Plate, and Bowl championships for both boys and girls.
ESOFT Metro Campus has graciously sponsored the tournament with a lucrative financial package. The sponsorship cheque was handed over by Dr. Nishan Sembacuttiaratchy, CEO of ESOFT Metro Campus, to the President of RCHC, Dr. Jayantha Senanayake, at a press conference held at the Royal College Union office on Reid Avenue.
