COLOMBO, Sept 2, 2025 (ePRESS) – Vidyani Hettigoda, Director of the Hettigoda Group of Companies, has been recognised as one of Sri Lanka’s Top 100 Iconic Women 2025 at the SLBC Centenary Awards held on August 29 at the BMICH.
With over 30 years of experience, Hettigoda has played a central role in transforming her family business into a global well-being brand. Under her leadership, Siddhalepa expanded its Ayurvedic products and services to more than 40 countries, strengthening Sri Lanka’s presence in the international wellness market.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Hettigoda has championed women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship. She has mentored rural women and guided them to become successful entrepreneurs, while actively contributing to organisations such as the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka, the Sri Lanka Business Development Centre, and the Women’s Chamber of Industry & Commerce (WCIC).
Educated in the United Kingdom, Hettigoda earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Computer Science at Middlesex University, London. She also worked as a Systems Specialist at Royal Mail before returning to Sri Lanka in 1996 to join the family business.
Her recognition at the SLBC Centenary Awards highlights her exceptional leadership and societal contributions, positioning her as an inspiring role model for the next generation of women leaders in Sri Lanka.
