Asian International School students’ creativity captivates at Lionel Wendt

COLOMBO: (ePRESS) – The Asian International School (AIS) held its annual art and craft exhibition at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery in Colombo 7 on May 29 and 30. The event featured renowned artist Michael Anthonisz as the chief guest.

This year’s exhibition highlighted the creative talents of AIS students, who displayed their work within a flexible framework provided by the school’s dedicated staff. The students’ artwork drew inspiration from a variety of themes.

At AIS, teachers encourage students to explore their unique creative expression. This approach not only helps students develop their artistic skills but also prepares them for higher-level art examinations like the IGCSEs and IALs.

AIS students have achieved remarkable success, including winning world prizes and attaining top grades in their exams. The exhibition featured impressive storyboards and other creative works, reflecting the high standard of art education at the school.

The dedication of the teachers and the talent of the students were evident, making the exhibition a memorable event for all who attended.
