Dutch Junior Open calls Jevahn to big league fairways

TOXANDRIA GOLF CLUB, Netherlands, July 15, (ePRESS) – Sri Lanka’s reigning Amateur Champion and Junior Match Play Champion, Jevahn Mikel Sathasivam, is set to test his skills against some of the world’s finest young golfers when he tees off at the prestigious Dutch Junior Open 2025 Wednesday, July 16th, at the historic Toxandria Golf Club in the Netherlands.

For Jevahn Sathasivam, a promising 17-year-old from Asian International School, this tournament represents an important milestone in his career. His consistent performances in local and regional tournaments, including his double title wins this season, have earned him a well-deserved spot in this prestigious competition.

Speaking ahead of his debut in the Netherlands, Jevahn said, “I’m thrilled to be part of such a renowned tournament. A well-established fixture in the junior golf calendar, the Dutch Junior Open has been held annually since 1984. Played on the par-71 course at Toxandria, one of the oldest golf clubs in the Netherlands, the tournament regularly attracts a strong international field and offers valuable opportunities for young golfers to gain experience in highly competitive conditions.

Over the years, the event has produced several players who went on to successful professional careers, including Daan Huizing, Wil Besseling, and 2016 Masters champion Danny Willett. It has become a recognised platform for young talent aiming to make their mark in international golf.

The Dutch Junior Open will be contested over four days in a stroke play format for players under the age of 21.
