COLOMBO, Apr 29 (ePRESS) – The Sampath Bank RCGC April Monthly Medal, sponsored by Sampath Bank and held at the Royal Colombo Golf Club last weekend, saw Chandima Kariyawasam emerge as the Overall Winner Non-Customer Nett with an impressive 62 Nett, while A. A. Mahinda claimed the Sampath Bank Overall Winner Nett – Male title with 65 Nett and Deepani Gamage secured the Sampath Bank Overall Winner Nett – Female title with 73 Nett.
In the Ladies Senior Division, Danny Hameed delivered a standout all-round performance, winning both the Gross title with 98 Gross and the Nett title with 63 Nett. Kathey Twenbold finished as Nett Runner-Up with 70 Nett.
The Ladies Bronze Division saw Dhanushi Wanasinghe take the Gross title with 93 Gross. Heidy Rampinelli was Nett Runner-Up with 70 Nett (B/B 9), while Jayomi Lokuliyana clinched the Nett title with 68 Nett.
In the Ladies Silver Division, Anouk Chitty won the Gross title with 81 Gross. Jade Jiggens finished as Nett Runner-Up with 72 Nett, while Dr. Pravina Dunuwilla secured the Nett title with 69 Nett.
The Junior Division was led by Reshan Algama, who won the Gross title with 72 Gross. Lithum Silva finished as Nett Runner-Up with 68 Nett, while Hirusha Pramuditha claimed the Nett title with 66 Nett.
In the Masters Division, Gamini Jayaweera dominated proceedings, winning both the Gross title with 82 Gross and the Nett title with 66 Nett. Saliya Wickramasoriya finished as Nett Runner-Up with 67 Nett.
The Senior Division saw Kumar Boralessa win the Gross title with 74 Gross. Roy Anthony was Nett Runner-Up with 66 Nett (B/B 9), while V. K. Vasan secured the Nett title with 63 Nett.
In Division C, Chandima Kariyawasam continued his fine form, winning both the Gross title with 83 Gross and the Nett title with 62 Nett, while Mevan Perera finished as Nett Runner-Up with 65 Nett.
Division B was dominated by A. A. Mahinda, who won both the Gross title with 76 Gross and the Nett title with 65 Nett. Suren Waas finished as Nett Runner-Up with 68 Nett (B/B 9).
In Division A, Husni Uwise won the Gross title with 73 Gross. Rajeeve Rajapaksa finished as Nett Runner-Up with 72 Nett, while Romesh Abhayaratne secured the Nett title with 68 Nett.
Special awards saw Husni Uwise claim the Longest Drive at the 8th Hole, while Y. K. Chung won Closest to the Pin at the 9th Hole.
In the Sampath Bank Customer Category, Rajeeve Rajapaksha won the Longest Drive at the 8th Hole, while Anant Udeshi claimed Closest to the Pin at the 9th Hole.
