COLOMBO, April 21, 2026 (ePRESS) — The New Zealand Under-85kg national rugby team arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday (April 20) for a two-match tour against the Sri Lanka national side, with the first Test set for April 25 at the Racecourse Grounds in Colombo.

The visiting squad, made up of 38 players and officials, landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-605 from Melbourne, Australia.

The tour will see the New Zealanders take on Sri Lanka in two key fixtures. The opening match will be played in Colombo on April 25, while the second encounter is scheduled for May 3 at the Nittawela Stadium in Kandy.

Officials of the Sri Lanka Rugby administration were present at the airport to welcome the touring side on arrival.

The series is expected to provide strong international exposure for the Sri Lanka team as they prepare to test themselves against a physically competitive and well-structured New Zealand outfit in the under-85kg category.
