DUBAI, UAE, Apr 23 (ePRESS) – Asia Rugby has extended its key partnership with Rhino Rugby as the Official Match Ball Supplier for all its competitions, ensuring high-quality and consistent playing standards across the region, with Agoal International serving as the local distributor of Rhino rugby match balls and equipment in Sri Lanka.

The renewed agreement strengthens a successful collaboration that began in 2017, reflecting a shared commitment to raising the standard of rugby in Asia. Under the partnership, Rhino Rugby will continue to supply match balls for major tournaments including the Asia Rugby Emirates Championship and the Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Series, along with all competitions conducted by Asia Rugby.

A major highlight of the extended deal is the introduction of the Rhino Vortex Recycled Match Ball as the official ball across all Asia Rugby Emirates competitions. This marks a significant step in the organisation’s push towards sustainability while maintaining elite performance standards.

Recognised globally as a leading performance partner, Rhino Rugby supplies match balls to unions representing over 70 percent of World Rugby’s member nations. The brand is widely trusted by top competitions and unions around the world for its quality and reliability.

Beyond performance, Rhino Rugby also provides strong logistical and operational support, ensuring timely delivery, consistent availability, and strict quality control of match balls across multiple countries. This plays a vital role in maintaining smooth tournament operations and providing uniform playing conditions for teams and officials.

The Rhino Vortex Recycled Match Ball has been designed to deliver top-level performance, offering excellent grip, durability, and flight stability while using recycled materials. After successful trials in Asia Rugby events, the ball received strong approval from players, coaches, and match officials, leading to its full adoption.

Qais Al Dhalai, President of Asia Rugby, said the extension reflects the progress made in improving the quality and consistency of the sport across the region.

“Rhino Rugby has been a key partner in our journey, not only through the quality of its match balls, but also through the reliability and professionalism of its logistical support,” he said.

He added that the introduction of the recycled match ball shows Asia Rugby’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, while keeping performance at the highest level.

Reg Clark, Group CEO of Rhino Rugby, said the company is proud to continue the partnership and support the growth of rugby across Asia.

He noted that Rhino has developed the world’s first recycled rugby ball and praised Asia Rugby for adopting it as the standard, highlighting the organisation’s progressive approach.

The partnership also supports Asia Rugby’s wider strategy of promoting sustainability, innovation, and professionalism in its competitions, while aligning with global standards followed by top rugby nations.

As Asia Rugby continues to expand its competitions under the Emirates banner, the long-term partnership with Rhino Rugby is expected to play a key role in driving the growth and development of the sport across the region.
