COLOMBO, Sri Lanka, October 4 (ePRESS) – Olympian Kyle Abeysinghe and World Aquatic Scholar Ramudi Samarakoon have been named the top swimmers in the newly announced Sri Lanka national squads, underlining their dominance in the pool as the country looks ahead to another big international season.

The National Sports Selection Committee, chaired by Olympian Sriyani Kulawansha, confirmed a 35-member men’s squad and a 25-member women’s squad, with the two stars topping the FINA points rankings.

Paris 2024 Olympian Kyle Abeysinghe once again proved his class. He posted the highest FINA points of 710 in the men’s section for his specialty, the 100m Freestyle. His consistency and experience make him the natural leader of the men’s squad.
