INDONESIA: (ePRESS) – Haroon Aslam of Sri Lanka placed 19th in the 65-member leaderboard at the MEDCO-Pondok Indah International Amateur Golf Championship in Indonesia, finishing with a nine-over-par score.
On the par-72 course, Aslam’s gross scores were 76 on the first round, 72 on the second day, and 77 in the final round, bringing his total to 225. Indonesia’s Rafa Tanjung also had a gross total of 225, placing 18th.
“Competing in Indonesia against some of the best amateurs in Southeast Asia was an incredible experience. I gained many valuable insights into my game, particularly on Bermuda greens, which challenged me the most,” said Haroon Aslam.
“This tournament has been a significant learning opportunity, and I am grateful for the experience and growth it provided,” added Aslam.
“I also have to thank Sri Lanka Golf for this amazing opportunity, and I hope to make use of the lessons I learned for my upcoming tournaments,” said Aslam.
Indonesia’s Rayahan Abdul Latief clinched the Men’s title with rounds of 69, 70, and 70, totaling a gross of under-par 7, 209.
