Colombo, Mar 3, 7.20PM – YETI Isotonic will be the hydration sponsor for the 145th Battle of the Blues Inter-School Big Match between Royal College and S Thomas’ College on March 7, 8, and 9 at the SSC Grounds in Maitland Place.
This time, Mahith Perera will lead the boys from Mount Lavinia, while Sineth Jayawardena, the Under-19 Sri Lanka skipper, will captain the team from Reid Avenue.
Royal College is currently ahead with 36 wins against S Thomas’ 35. The match in 1885 is a bit controversial. Royal was all out for nine runs, and they didn’t play on the second day. S Thomas’ counts it as a win, while Royal sees it as a draw.
In the last Battle of the Blues (144th), under Dasis Manchanayake’s leadership, Royal won by a significant 181 runs, marking their first victory since 2016.
YETI, created by Dr. Dilshan Balasuriya, a graduate from the University of Cambridge, and supported by German sports specialists, will keep the players hydrated. It’s designed scientifically to meet the needs of athletes, helping them perform at their best.
