Royal College’s cricket sensation, Rehan Peiris, once again stole the show with a dazzling century, leading his team Colombo South to 166-run victory against Galle in the PRIMA U15 Sri Lanka Youth League match at DS Senanayake College grounds on Tuesday.

At just 14 years old, Peiris, known for his remarkable performances, displayed his talent by scoring an impressive 101 runs off 116 balls against Galle Under-15. The opening right-hander displayed skillful batting, hitting three sixes and 11 elegant fours, guiding Colombo South to a formidable total of 260/7 in their 50 overs while batting first.

Last year, Peiris made headlines as the youngest player to score a half-century at the age of 13 and emerged as the Mustangs Trophy hero against S Thomas’ College. His consistent excellence on the field is establishing him as a rising star in youth cricket.

In this match, Galle faced a daunting challenge in their chase and was eventually bowled out for 94 runs. The bowling hero for Colombo South was Himaru Deshan, who delivered a remarkable five-wicket haul. Deshan’s impressive bowling performance included figures of 5-22, with three maiden overs in his seven-over spell.
