Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, The British School faced challenging playing conditions but successfully posted a total of 114 runs in the first innings. All-rounder Shevan Fernando played a pivotal role in this effort, contributing a resilient 36 to the team’s score.
The bowlers from The British School showcased skillful performances, adeptly defending their modest total. Spinner Abdurrahman Basheer stood out with an impressive four-wicket haul. Consequently, S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia, encountered difficulties and was bundled out for 55 runs.
